S.B. 508 creates a state trail authority to establish and protect public trails across the state
S.B. 508 will generate a map of all the public trails in the state.
S.B. 508 recognizes that there is interest within the state for additional well-managed trails and facilities for motorized and non-motorized recreational vehicle enthusiasts and other recreational users.
Overview: Legislation (S.B. 508) establishes a separate West Virginia state trail authority. Currently, there is no specific management of public trails in the state. The bill passed the Senate and awaits placement on the House Calendar by the Rules committee.
