Washington Military Vehicle Titling Legislation Eligible for Reconsideration in 2020

Legislation (S.B. 5417/H.B. 1993) to allow for the titling and registration of military surplus vehicles as collector vehicles failed to pass before the Washington legislature adjourned for 2019.

The bills defined military surplus vehicle as a vehicle that is not operated using continuous tracks, was originally manufactured and sold directly to the armed forces of the United States and is no longer owned by the United States armed forces.

These bills recognized the important historical and patriotic purpose of these vehicles.

By rule, these bills are eligible to be reconsidered during next year’s legislative session.

Thank you to those who voiced support for these bills.
